ScottishPower is offering a number of new jobs across East Anglia as part of its early career programme.

The energy company is looking to fill 325 positions, including over 200 trainee roles and more than 100 graduate placements.

The roles are available across ScottishPower’s businesses and offices throughout the UK. In East Anglia, the positions will support ScottishPower Renewables' offshore wind projects.

Further jobs are available in Merseyside, North Wales and Scotland where SP Energy Networks owns and operates over 65,000km of underground cable and 40,000km of overhead lines.

ScottishPower recently announced that it would double its investment in the UK out to 2028 – from £12 billion to £24 billion – with over two thirds of this investment being in its electricity networks.

“We are excited to kick off our recruitment period for the 2025 graduate intake, which will be our largest to date,” said Jennifer Davies, SP Energy Networks strategic workforce renewals manager.

“We are looking to attract over 100 new graduate entrants into our growing business. These are truly exciting times ahead as we continue to expand and innovate with fresh talent joining our team.”

ScottishPower’s two-year graduate programme gives graduates an opportunity to play their part in the electrification of the UK, providing them with the skills, training and confidence to drive the renewable energy industry towards the country's net zero targets.

Jonathan Naftalin, SP Energy Networks graduate trainee engineer said: “The graduate programme has given me opportunities to get involved in substantive, high impact projects that affect the future of the UK’s energy infrastructure.

“The structure of the graduate programme has given me exposure to different parts of the business, which has been vital for forging new relationships and developing a broad understanding of how we operate our distribution and transmission businesses.”
