Nearly 40 affordable homes have been constructed at the site of a former school.
Stowmarket Middle School, in Childer Road, closed in 2015 after Suffolk County Council decided to change to a two tier education system.
Two years after the closure, Mid Suffolk Council purchased the site as part of plans to change vacant areas into housing across the town.
The plans detailed a development of 38 homes including multiple one and two bed flats as well as two, three and four bed houses.

Working in partnership with Pentaco Construction Ltd, all of the homes have been completed to offer a mix of affordable rent, social rent and shared ownership homes at below market value.
Cllr Richard Wench, cabinet member for housing and property at Mid Suffolk Council, said: "I am delighted that we have been able to breath new life into this town centre site and the delivery of this stunning development in the town centre.
"This is a major investment in the delivery of new homes and the sustainability of the town centre, supporting our residents and encouraging and developing thriving communities."
In addition to the Childer Road development, the council has secured new homes in other towns and villages to provide a certain amount of affordable housing as part of each development.
