A young mum-of-two with big dreams in the fashion industry has opened her first unit in a Suffolk town.
Jess Northwood, of Great Cornard, runs clothing online shop Jessikas Boutique and regularly attends markets, including North Weald in Essex, to sell her goods.
She had been primarily online-based but has recently launched her first unit in Alexandra Road at the NWES South Suffolk Business Centre so her customers can now come and shop in person.
"We opened on the October 6 and had a opening day with some bubbly and snacks and our new collection," she explained.
"We offer sizes 6-26 and a range of items from shoes to clothing and accessories."
She said she was not actively looking for a unit but came across the site by chance.
"I saw the unit was available with amazing lease terms so the next day I signed it there and then," she said.
"I always think if you don’t try you’ll never know - but it is scary!"
She said she has had a good reception from people since her opening day and urged people hoping to visit to follow her business page on Facebook, as the times it will be open will change each week due to her childcare responsibilities.
"Everyone has said the stock is lovely - something for everyone and well needed in Sudbury," she said.
"I still feel a blur towards it all as it’s a huge jump from my spare room. I’m happy with how it is for now, from having a small budget to start it up.
"I'm hoping for the future to add some extra features like beauty treatments," she added.
