A major route leading into a Suffolk town centre has been closed for emergency roadworks.
Newton Road in Sudbury has been closed by Anglia Water near Belle Vue Road.
According to the Suffolk County Council website the road is expected to remain closed until Saturday.
However, this could change if work is finished sooner or has to be extended.
A diversion route has been put in place while the road is closed.
