With temperatures continuing to drop as winter approaches, pubs can be a great place to warm up with a drink or two by the fire.
Earlier this month The Greyhound in Pettistree was named one of Britain's best pubs by the Good Food Guide.
Here are five of the cosiest Suffolk pubs according to readers.
1. The Golden Hind
Where: 470 Nacton Road, Ipswich, IP3 9NF
Having previously been named as one of the best pubs in Ipswich by readers, The Golden Hind offers a warming atmosphere with food served daily from midday.
Last year it was in the finals for community pub in the Publican of the Year Awards 2023.
2. Moon and Mushroom
Where: High Road, Swilland, Ipswich, IP6 9LR
Despite the cool flagstone flooring, the Moon and Mushroom Inn creates a homely atmosphere with its pink walls and open fireplace.
It was one of the 15 new Suffolk pubs to be included in this year's Good Beer Guide.
3. The Cherry Tree
Where: 73 Cumberland Street, Woodbridge, IP12 4AG
The Cherry Tree is a 17th Century inn steeped in history with open fires, oak beams and sloping ceilings.
It also offers a range of cask ales and traditional pub food made with locally sourced ingredients.
4. White Horse Inn
Where: Mill Green, Edwardstone, Sudbury, CO10 5PX
Located in the Suffolk countryside, the White Horse Inn has three wood burners that use local coppiced wood to provide warmth in the colder months.
Visitors will find the Little Earth Project next door which brews barrel aged sour beers for the pub.
