An Essex football team has been presented a team performance award to mark its impressive start to the season.
Harwich and Parkeston FC have been presented the award by Thurlow Nunn East Counties League.
The accolade recognised the Shrimpers' impressive start to the season, having won eight out of nine league games in August and September.
Prior to their home game against Whittlesey Athletic, which they won 8-0, the team received £150 as part of the award.
An additional £100 was also donated to a charity of the club's choice.
The Ark Family Resource Centre was the selected beneficiary, with its manager, Claire Bridges, receiving the cheque from league chairman Peter Hutchings and Thurlow Nunn's regional parts manager, Paul Tavinor.
