Two men have been arrested after armed police were spotted in a west Suffolk market town.
Officers from Suffolk police were called at 9.30pm on Thursday by a man who claimed to have been involved in a road rage incident on the A14 westbound at Higham.
The victim, who was driving a red Honda Civic, was pursued by other men in a Volkswagen Golf who forced the victim to stop his car in Barrow Road after exiting the dual carriageway.
The man was allegedly threatened with weapons but managed to escape and evade the suspects in a safe place until officers arrived.

Police located the Golf in the Cornhill, Bury St Edmunds, at 10.30pm with armed officers forming part of the response as weapons had been reported.
A 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from Cambridge, were arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds police station.
Following a search of the vehicle officers seized items including an extendable baton and knuckle dusters.
Police are appealing for witnesses and ask any motorists with a dashcam driving in the areas of the A14 at Higham or in Barrow around the time of the incident to review footage.
