The expected completion date for damage that has closed a swimming pool in a Suffolk town has been announced.
The Kingfisher Leisure Centre pool, in Sudbury's Station Road, was forced to close in August after investigations showed damage to a glass panel above the pool as well as to the roof.
In September Abbeycroft Leisure, which runs the site, said the pool would be closed for at least 12 weeks while repair work takes place.
Now, bosses have given an update as to when repair works is expected to be completed by.
A spokeswoman said: "At the moment we do not have an exact date of when the pool will reopen but December is when the maintenance work is projected to be completed."
The gym and sauna will remain open as usual while the work is carried out on the 40-year-old pool building.
Babergh District Council, which owns the leisure centre, has spent £2.3million in extending and modernising the site as part of a project back in 2019.
