A former brewery building on the edge of a Suffolk town centre has been put up for auction.
The former Oliver's Brewery site in Cornard Road in Sudbury is being marketed by William H Brown with a guide price of £550,000.
In 2023, Babergh District Council granted plans to convert the building, which has stood empty for years, into six flats.
According to the Campaign for Real Ale, the brewery first opened in the town in 1873 before it ceased trading in 1932.

The plans submitted to the council state there could be five two-bedroom flats and one single-bedroom flat.
A total of 10 car parking spaces would be created, set within the existing parking area adjacent to the side of the building.
According to William H Brown the current owners of the property have already carried out a number of projects inside the building, including a large amount of stripping and clearance work which means the new buyer will be able to get started with work almost straight away.
