Staff at Colchester Zoo are pleased to announce the arrival of two new animals.
In July the zoo welcomed two ostriches, called Daphne and Daisy, from an ostrich farm.
The duo has spent the past couple of months being cared for in a special behind-the-scenes area whilst they settled into their new surroundings.
Daphne and Daisy have been slowly introduced to Doris, the other ostrich at the zoo.
All three ostriches will share their home together at Kingdom of the Wild, and over the next few weeks, will slowly be introduced to the other species that they will share their home with including the zoo's zebras, giraffes and southern white rhino.
The two ostriches have a greyish-brown plumage making them easy to tell apart from their male counterparts that have a black plumage when mature.
Ostriches are the largest bird on the planet standing at over two metres tall.
Despite not being able to fly they are able to reach speeds of 43mph across the African plain.
