A pair of Suffolk businesses are "honoured" to be recognised among the top 50 spas in the country.

Bedford Lodge in Newmarket and Marquis Suffolk in Layham, near Hadleigh, were featured in The Times list, which was published last week.

Bedford Lodge was originally built as a hunting lodge in 18th century but has been used as a hotel since the 1940s.

This recognition highlights the incredible dedication and skill of our team at The Spa, who consistently go above and beyond to create memorable experiences for our guests.

"Their passion and attention to detail are the heart of everything we do, and I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved together.”

Meanwhile, The Marquis Suffolk, in Layham near Hadleigh, has been featured on the list following it's £15 million expansion, of which the spa was an addition.

Marquis Spa truly is a unique destination for those seeking an unforgettable experience. It is a real honour for us to be featured among so many established industry greats within a month of launching."

The Bedford Lodge and Marquis Suffolk missed out on being named best spa in the East of England, with that honour going to the Norfolk Mead Hotel in Coltishall, Norfolk.
