A former village shop has gone on the market after permission was granted to knock it down to make way for two new homes was granted.
Babergh District Council gave permission last year to turn the former Spar Dairy Stores in Broom Street, Great Cornard, near Sudbury, into two homes, which means the building could be demolished.
David Burr is now marketing the sale of the property and has said it is a "fantastic opportunity" to acquire the former shop and apartment above.
The planning permission is for a pair of three-bedroom semi-detached homes with their own private garden and off-road parking.
Spar Dairy Stores closed in 2014, which marked "the end of an era" for the business.
A letter from company director Henry Byham, who is making the planning application, says the family was involved in running the shop for 45 years.
Mr Byham added that the decision to close was "not taken lightly", but said the Sainsbury's supermarket that had opened nearby in 2012 had meant residents were changing their shopping habits, leading to a loss of footfall for the business.
