A shop selling more than 30 different varieties of tea has opened at a coastal hub.

Vitalitea opened at Beach Street in Felixstowe at the end of summer and has proved a hit with its hot and iced tea offerings.

Josh Kemp started the business after years of working as a mixologist in bars.

"My partner is obsessed is tea and she was always bringing home different leaves and flavours," said Mr Kemp.

"I began experimenting to create new drinks and just thought 'How can I make tea more affordable?'"

Vitalitea offers 32 different varieties of tea leaves with a "try before you buy" ethos offering customers a cup of tea to try the flavour before they purchase their own bag.

There is also a selection of cocktails and smoothies infused with tea available on the menu.

Within the first few weeks, Vitalitea proved to be popular with beachgoers and families in Felixstowe.

Mr Kemp added: "I could not make enough iced tea during the summer - people just kept coming for more.

"People are excited because it means they don't need to drive to Norwich for quality tea anymore."

With the weather turning cooler on the Suffolk coast, Mr Kemp has removed iced teas from the menu to start offering hot toddies.

The winter warmer is made with a choice of hot tea, honey, lemon and either whiskey or spiced rum.

Mr Kemp also plans to introduce mulled wine with chai spices closer to the start of the festive season in winter.

Vitalitea is open at Beach Street in Felixstowe between 12pm and 6pm on Wednesday through to Saturday and 12pm until 4pm on Sunday.
