Works to replace a bridge have been further delayed due to flooding.
It was announced last month that work to replace the White Bridge on Halesworth's Millennium Green was set to start.
But, Suffolk Highways has now announced that the first stage of vole relocation process has been "postponed due to the location being badly flooded" after heavy rain earlier this week.
The process was previously delayed when workmen found Himalayan Balsam, an invasive species of weed, along the riverbanks and ditches during preparatory works.

Now, Suffolk Highways said in a post: "The water levels have since reduced allowing the relocation of the water voles to recommence next week, weather permitting.
"Once we receive confirmation that the voles have been successfully relocated, teams will clear back the banks allowing the bridge replacement works to begin.
"Thank you for your continued patience whilst these essential improvements are completed."
White Bridge was closed in August 2022 in Halesworth when it was deemed unsafe. The installation of the metal safety fencing after its closure caused uproar with members of the town.
