A mother and son duo has saved Waveney's first zero-waste store from closure.
David and Lorraine Le Grice launched Uncle Sid's Zero Waste store in Lowestoft in 2019.
They sold items such as flour, grains, cleaning products and toiletries and invited people to fill their own tubs with the products and pay by the weight to reduce plastic packaging.
Earlier this year, they shared their plans to step back and said the business would close in October if no buyer came forward.
Thankfully Nathan Davison, 39, and his mother Julie, 58, saw the advert in time and loved the idea of a new challenge, so agreed to buy it from them.
They officially took over on Tuesday.
"I'm Lowestoft born and bred and now live in Oulton Broad, so I used to pop into Uncle Sid's," Mr Davison explained.
"When I saw it was up for sale I knew it would be a good opportunity for me and Mum.
"We used to run The Chapel coffee lounge in Barnby but our owner recently decided to sell the premises.

"Uncle Sid's came along at the right time - we're excited to take on something completely different."
Many aspects of the shop will remain the same but the Davisons hope to install a new "coffee corner" serving hot drinks and cake to encourage customers to stay a while and chat.
Any new stock introduced will be locally sourced and sustainable.
Their former business, The Chapel, will close on October 25.
