The restaurant, which serves a range of dishes from crab tortelli to Suffolk burgers, also received the Travellers' Choice Award in recognition of its outstanding Tripadvisor ratings.

Daniel Pilley, who owns the restaurant, was delighted to hear how his business had been rated.

He said: "We are really proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing to develop and grow Nine Jars into a place everyone loves."

"Over the last year, we have really started to find our feet again following the pandemic and lockdowns.

"We have had some incredible people join our already strong team and our team culture is now the best it has ever been, with a tight-knit team of individuals.

"We have introduced a more in-depth restaurant menu, featuring some delicious food such as Ruby Murray, our homemade makhani curry, the lobster tortelli, local steaks, butternut squash and cranberry tagine and our customer favourite dragon chicken."

This comes after the restaurant and hotel recently underwent a makeover at its premises to include The Hive Coffee Shop, which previously operated at the EpiCentre in Haverhill.

The two companies have also since announced a new parking initiative which they believe will "increase footfall into the town" and "be part of reviving our fabulous town".

The initiative, which was launched in June, takes the price of a customer's parking ticket off of their purchase at the café or bar.
