One of five driver experience cars stolen in an overnight raid in the early hours of Saturday has been found in Suffolk.

The cars, worth a combined total of about £450,000, were taken from Tibenham Airfield in Norfolk where they were being kept for driving experience days.

A Volkswagen Golf was recovered on Monday evening in Suffolk.

The thieves filmed themselves taking the keys from a cupboard in a secure building on the airfield and recorded themselves sitting in two of the cars in a London street.

It is believed that the videos were filmed in Barking in the Lamborghini and Mercedes that were stolen.

The cars' owner, Car Chase Heroes, said it had security on site at the time of the raid, and people were sleeping nearby, but the thieves were able to drive off undetected.

Witnesses have since claimed that they had seen a red Lamborghini Huracan, a bronze Audi R8, a yellow and black Mercedes AMG GT, a white and blue Volkswagen Golf and a white Porsche Cayman being driven in convoy southwards down the A11 and the M11.

All 35 cars on the airfield had the keys stolen but only five vehicles were removed, resulting in the driver experience days being cancelled.

The incident happened between midnight and 4am and anyone who may have witnessed it is urged to get in touch with Norfolk police, quoting crime reference number 36/69420/24.
