A plea hearing for a 29-year-old man accused of possessing class A drugs with the intent to supply following a police stop in a mid Suffolk town has been adjourned.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday was Alban Rustemi of Goldings Road, Northampton.
He is accused of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply on September 2 after being arrested in Stowmarket.
Rustemi was expected to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before the court on Tuesday but his legal team asked for the hearing to be adjourned to allow for instructions to be taken from the defendant.
Judge Martyn Levett adjourned the hearing until October 25 and said that if a trial was necessary it would take place during the week commencing February 24 next year.
Rustemi is in custody, the court was told.
