People are still being asked to avoid the area around a lake as police continue their search for a missing person. 

On Friday, officers were seen attending Needham Lake, off Coddenham Road, when they began initial searches to trace the person. 

A spokesman for Suffolk police on Saturday asked members of the public to area of the lake whilst this work is ongoing.

Parts of the park and lake were cordoned off while emergency services attended. 

Cordons remain in place on Sunday as officers alongside Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service continue to search the area. 

No information regarding the missing person has been issued by Suffolk police.
