Plans for new signage outside of a town pub have been approved as part of a "significant refurbishment" project.
Babergh District Council has given Greene King the go-ahead to carry out work at The George in Hadleigh High Street.
The proposals will see new signage put up outside of the pub.
It forms part of plans by the brewer to give the establishment a fresh look.
A spokesperson for Greene King said: "The George will soon be undergoing a significant refurbishment internally and externally which will transform the pub for the local community.
"We’re really excited for the new pub which will offer a great selection of drinks, sport and live entertainment alongside a great pub food menu.
"We are also recruiting for a new franchisee to manage the pub following the refurbishment and we look forward to sharing further details on the opening in the future.”
The Hadleigh Society objected to the proposals, stating they "represent an unnecessary clutter of signage on the property".
