A temporary banking hub has opened its doors in a west Suffolk town ahead of the launch of the permanent location.
Cash Access UK has opened the temporary hub at Haverhill Library in Camps Road.
This hub will be open five days a week and will continue to be available until the new permanent banking hub opens.
It includes a Post Office counter service where customers of all major banks can carry out cash transactions from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The temporary hub also offers a Community Banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues.
This is for HSBC on Monday morning, NatWest on Tuesday, Lloyds on Wednesday, Santander on Thursday and Barclays on Friday.
The permanent hub will be located at Unit 1 of The Chauntry Centre in the town.
Cash Access UK said the team will provide updates on this work and the temporary hub will remain open until the permanent hub is up and running.
Residents can also check for updates on the Cash Access UK website.
This will be the first banking hub to open in Suffolk - with four more hubs planned for Hadleigh, Woodbridge, Mildenhall, and Leiston.
Gareth Oakley, chief executive at Cash Access UK, said: "I’m happy to announce that our temporary Banking Hub in Haverhill is now open while we carry out necessary work on the Permanent Hub.
"The team are working hard to get the permanent hub up and running and will provide updates on our progress."
Lloyds in Haverhill was expected to close down its branch in the town centre on June 25.
However, earlier this year the banking giant said that it would keep their branch in Haverhill open until Tuesday, September 24.
Now the website states the bank will stay open until December 2.
When Lloyds closes, Haverhill will join Southwold and Mildenhall as some of the Suffolk towns with no banks.
