A determined daughter who has raised more than £23,000 to date has achieved her dream of honouring her mum.
Harli Dixon from Woodbridge has been committed to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice which cared for Jemma Chatten until she passed away from breast cancer in 2022, aged 34.
Harli had originally set herself an initial fundraising target of £10,000 for the hospice – but she has long since surpassed this amount, raising an incredible £23,300 in total, through the charity’s Midnight Walk and by hosting her own dinner and dance at Seckford Hall in July.
The funds raised will go towards St Elizabeth Hospice’s vital work, as well as contributing towards a leaf in Jemma’s memory on the hospice’s Memory Tree, which was recently unveiled by Harli.
“It feels really special to have raised money for St Elizabeth Hospice and to have a leaf on the hospice’s Memory Tree for my mummy,” said Harli.
“Thank you to everybody who supported my fundraising and helped raise lots of money for the charity.
“I really hope this money can help the hospice look after other people, just like they looked after my mummy.”
