A florist has announced the closure of a high street shop in order to focus on new opportunities.

Emily Robbins reopened the flower store in Debenham High Street in 2022 under the new name Robbins Flowers.

It replaced former florist Lucy Jane Flowers in the town.

The Debenham local set up her first business after gaining in interest in flowers as a child.

Ms Robbins has announced on social media that the store in Debenham will be closing later this year.

A statement said: "After three years on Debenham High Street it is with great sadness to announce that Robbins Flowers will be leaving after Christmas 2024.

"The High Street has been such a special place to be, however, I have been presented with opportunities over the past several months that have led me to make the extremely difficult decision to move on and further my career in floral design.

"I will be working from a smaller workshop, focusing on bespoke weddings and events while doing this so it is certainly not the end for Robbins Flowers."

The shop will remain open as normal over the festive season and Ms Robbins also said a new florist is lined up to open in Debenham next year.
