A vintage clothes sale offering items for prices as low as £1 is returning to Ipswich.

Worth The Weight will be at St Matthew's Church in Portman Road on Saturday, October 5.

The business started in 2018 and travels the length of the county with tonnes of clothes each week to battle the industry of fast fashion.

Chris Davies, organiser of the event, said: "We're noticing a change in shopper demographic during the events, our events have seen families of all ages coming together to help support the sustainable clothing industry.

"It's a chance for shoppers to rethink their shopping habits and become part of the preloved revolution."

Individual items will start from £1 with a kilogram of clothes costing £20.

Heavier items such as large coats will be capped at £20 meaning customers will not pay more than that for anything on offer.

Nine tonnes of different clothing styles and sizes will be available on the day of the event.

Early bird tickets cost £3 while general admission after midday will cost £2.

Tickets will be available on the day but it is advised to purchase them in advance to avoid waiting in long queues.
