A Suffolk police constable has been dismissed after failing to disclose business interests.
The constable, who was granted anonymity for the hearing, was dismissed without notice earlier this month after he was found in breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour.
Assistant Chief Constable Eamonn Bridger carried out the misconduct hearing for the officer referred to as Constable A.
ACC Bridger found that potential clearly existed for Constable A to have an income in the form of money or goods which would be relevant under the Constabulary policy on business interests.
Suffolk Police have not disclosed what the business interests were.
ACC Bridger also found that Constable A ought to have known about his obligation to declare a business interest.
It was further found that Constable A had been repeatedly dishonest in performance development review conversations with line managers.
As a result, ACC Bridger said Constable A had undermined public confidence in the police and so dismissed the officer without notice on September 3.
