The owners of a seafood restaurant have announced its closure. 

Steak Lobster & Co in Felixstowe which became known for serving top-quality surf and turf has closed down. 

A statement on the Undercliff Road restaurant's website reads: "It is with regret that we would like to inform you that Steak Lobster and Co has now closed permanently.

"We would like to thank all of our customers over the past few years that have dined with and celebrated with us."

The restaurant, which has views of Felixstowe seafront, had been open since December 2021 and was a popular place for many to get their seafood fix. 

A glamourous launch was held in January 2022 where guests were welcomed with a glass of prosecco on arrival.  

The restaurant served a range of dishes including fish and chips, steaks, burgers and seafood dishes. 

It was also ranked as one of the best places to get steak and chips in the county.
