A 23-year-old Cambridgeshire man has been charged sexually abusing girls aged between 11 and 15 at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court.
Samuel Cunningham, who is of Debden Green, Ely, has been charged with two counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, three counts of assault by penetration and three counts of engaging in sexual communications with a child.
The matters were too serious to be dealt with at the magistrates’ court in Ipswich on Monday, so the case was committed to Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on October 14.
The defendant was released on conditional bail.
Cunningham was told not to have any contact with anyone under the age of 18 ahead of his next court appearance.
