Suffolk will be receiving a visit from one of literature's most famous bears and his marmalade sandwiches.
Bury St Edmunds is one of 20 locations that has been chosen to host Paddington Bear in early October.
Ahead of the release of Paddington in Peru, the Paddington Visits project will see over 20 Paddington statues on benches placed in locations from John O' Groats to Lands End.
Where Paddington will be found in the Suffolk town will be released in due course.
Hugh Bonneville, of Downton Abbey fame and who plays Mr Brown in the film, announced the unveiling and said: “I am thrilled to reveal we are going to be unveiling a number of benches across the UK, all featuring a statue of our beloved bear.
"Ahead of the new film, fans, families and friends can sit down and have a chat with the marmalade-loving bear, so watch this space for more information about Paddington…coming to a bench near you."
The new film, Paddington in Peru, will see the nation's favourite bear return home to the Peruvian jungle to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, now a resident at the Home for Retired Bears, tackling the Amazon rainforest and Peruvian mountain peaks along the way.
Paddington in Peru will be released on November 8.
