An east Suffolk holiday park has raised more than £500 for a charity.

Cakes & Ale Holiday Park in Leiston, Suffolk, held a fundraising event for Friends of Leiston Airfield.

The park hopes to make this an annual tradition to honour the history of Leiston Airfield.

The event included a family-friendly quiz, with 15 teams competing.

The team 'Keep it Clean' won, and were awarded wine donated by the Yoxford Boys Bar.

Businesses donated raffle prizes, contributing to the funds raised.

The airfield was home to the United States Army Air Forces' 357th Fighter Group during the Second World War.

The group operated the P-51 Mustang aircraft and was known as the "Yoxford Boys".
