The opening date has been revealed for a pumpkin patch at a country estate near Bury St Edmunds. 

Guests to Rougham Estate can pick their own pumpkins just in time for Halloween when the patch opens on Saturday, October 5. 

The patch will be filled with thousands of pumpkins, squashes and gourds in a variety of shapes and sizes. 

It will be open every weekend in the lead up to Halloween before opening daily from Saturday, October 26 until Thursday, October 31. 

Entry to the patch is free with the price of the pumpkins varying based on their size.

Visitors can also borrow a wheelbarrow to make it easier to transport pumpkins through the field. 

There will be a range of food vendors on site including Wrights, What the Peck and Bad Boi Burritos. 

A spokesman for Rougham Estate said: "There is plenty more to enjoy too with room for children to run and climb, space to picnic, small pumpkin games for the family as well as fabulous photo opportunities."

Rougham Pumpkin Patch is located just off junction 45 of the A14 near Bury.
