A fish and chip shop has been forced to delay its opening due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Rumbles Fish Bar originally planned to open its doors to hungry customers on the Moreton Hall estate in Bury St Edmunds on Monday, September 16. 

In an announcement on Facebook, the owners of the Slater Avenue takeaway said: "Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond out control, the opening of Rumbles Moreton Hall has been cancelled. 

A new opening date for the takeaway has not been announced but the owners said it will be confirmed soon.

The supermarket opened its doors on Thursday, September 12 and created 20 jobs for those living in the area.

A spokesman for Sainsbury's said: "We hope our investment in the store, which has created jobs and a convenient new place for people to shop locally, will benefit the community for years to come."
