A 49-year-old man has been banned from the roads after he was caught drug-driving in Ipswich.
Darren Taylor, who is of Meadow Close in Lavenham, near Sudbury, pleaded guilty to two offences at Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich.
It follows an incident involving a Volkswagen Caddy being stopped in West End Road in Ipswich on January 7 this year.
Taylor was found to have 3.6ugl of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, a cannabinoid found in cannabis, in his blood. This exceeded the specified limit of 2.0ugl.
He was also found to have 800bugl of benzoylecgonine in his blood, exceeding the specified limit of 50ugl.
Taylor was banned from the roads for 18 months and fined £200.
In addition, Taylor was ordered to pay £80 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £80.
Taylor's guilty pleas were taken into account when magistrates decided on his sentence.
