A road in a west Suffolk town was closed after the emergency services were called to a medical emergency.
Suffolk police were called to the incident in St Andrews Street North in Bury St Edmunds at 1.50pm.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the East of England Ambulance Service were on the scene.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was also called to the incident and a man was taken to hospital.
Photos from the scene showed at least two ambulances and a police car in attendance.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 1.46pm with reports of a person in cardiac arrest in Brentgovel Street, Bury St Edmunds.
"We sent the East Anglian Air Ambulance, two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle.
"One person was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for further care."
The road has now reopened following the incident and traffic is flowing normally.
