Multiple roads were closed in a town after an electric cable was brought down by a grab crane.
Police were called to Chalkstone Way in Haverhill at about 12.45pm on Thursday to reports of an electric cable being brought down by a person operating a grab crane.
Sparks are said to have been seen coming from the overhead cables and a power cut took place in the CB9 0 and CB9 9 Haverhill postcodes.

In the interest of safety, officers closed Wratting Road, between the Tesco Superstore and Chalkstone Way, to prevent any injuries and allow UK Power Networks to carry out repairs.

Millfields Way, Chapple Drive and Dove House Road were also closed.
The road was later reopened at about 2.30pm after UK Power Networks made the area safe.
Workers remain at the scene ensuring power is brought back to normal.
