A festival with plans to serve beer "until it runs out" is coming to a brewery in a west Suffolk town.

The Old Cannon Brewery in Bury St Edmunds is hosting the three-day festival starting at 12pm on Friday, September 27 and lasting until 8pm on Sunday, September 29.

It follows the success of a similar beer event the brewery hosted in Easter.

The Autumn Beer Festival will have a range of beers and ciders from local Suffolk producers and other breweries in East Anglia.

The Old Cannon Brewery was established in 1845 and brews beers and ales with nautical themed names such as The Gunners' Daughter, Powder Monkey and Black Pig.

It also offers 21 varieties of gin alongside other spirits like vodka, rum and whiskey.

Food will be available throughout the weekend festival with a barbecue available on Friday and Saturday.

The event organiser said: "We cannot wait for our Autumn Beer Festival and we plan to keep it running until the beer runs out."
