A Woodbridge bride-to-be has shared her plans after winning £320,000 in a postcode lottery.

A total of 363 people living in the IP12 1 area in Woodbridge won a share of the £3.2 million in the People's Postcode Lottery.

Five players took home the biggest prize of £320,000 after the full winning postcode was announced at 3pm on Saturday - including Rachel Hamilton.

It was double the prize though as her partner Callum also bagged the top prize of £320,000.

The 34-year-old said she’ll splurge out on a 'budget free' wedding dress before the couple tie the knot next year.

The mum-of-one revealed their double win has capped off an incredible August – after getting engaged at the start of the month, her birthday in the middle, and getting the wedding booked.

"They say good things come in threes, but that’s four good things this month," Rachel said.

"This has been a cool August.

"What am I going to spend the money on? I’m not going to put a limit on my wedding dress. I was going to work to a budget, but it can be budget-free and I’ll have the dress of my dreams."

Rachel said the couple, who have been together for eight years, have booked an intimate wedding in Paphos, Cyprus, after Callum enlisted the help of their four-year-old son Harvey to propose.

She added: "Everyone thought we’d win about £30,000.

I didn’t want to get too excited. You don’t ever think you’ll win big.

"This is a life-changing amount of money. We’ve only ever won tenners.

"We’ve been playing for six or seven years. We wanted to do something for charity, so thought we would just try it."

A further 358 people playing in the wider Woodbridge area of IP12 1 received cheques ranging from £4,020 to £16,080, depending on how many tickets they play with.
