A MasterChef finalist who leads the kitchen at an award-winning gastropub in Suffolk is among the chef line-up for a top food festival. 

The Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival returns for its annual event in Snape Maltings on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29. 

The festival first took place in 2006 as a celebration of the abundance and variety of food and drink produced in Suffolk.

More than 130 local food and drink producers will have stalls at the festival alongside stages for live demonstrations, cookery classes and street food vendors. 

There will also be a selection of masterclasses for up to 15 people to be taught skills from trained professionals.

MasterChef: The Professionals finalist Adam Spicer will be one of the chefs giving live demonstrations on the Main Stage at 11am on the Saturday of the event. 

He stepped in to take over the kitchen as head chef at The Greyhound Inn in Pettistree which has been named one of the best restaurants in the UK

Mr Spicer is one of nearly 30 chefs in the line-up for the weekend. 

The full chef line-up for the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival is Adam Spicer, Amelia Christie Miller, Ben Tish, Benoit Blin, Bert Blaize, Charlotte Giddings, CJ Jackson, Claire Bosi, Clare Finney, Dominique Woolf, Gerard King, Ivan Tisdall-Downes, Jake Lawrence, Jenny Jefferies, Jon Fell, Laura Taylor, Mike Warner, Nick Claxton-Webb, Philippa Davis, Rachel de Thample, Rob Mace, Roger Aston, Rowen Halstead, Suffolk New College, Tom Aikens, Tom Booton and William Sitwell. 

From Sunday, September 1 the day tickets will cost £15 for adults and weekend tickets granting access to both days of the festival cost £25. 

Under 16s have free entry into both days of the festival.
