Organisers of an annual Suffolk seafront arts and crafts extravaganza are hoping this year's event will be "bigger and better than ever" when it takes place on Sunday (September 1).

More than 90 artists and craft makers will have their work for sale at this year's Art on the Prom on Felixstowe promenade, described by organiser Art Eat Events as "a wonderful celebration of creativity and community".

The event is free to attend, open to the public from 10am until the later time of 6pm this year and will be located in its usual place on the section between Holland Road and the Spa gardens.

Visitors will be able to see artworks and hand made gifts from an array of exhibitors.

Financial and organisational support for the event is being provided by East Suffolk Council, Felixstowe Business Improvement District, which represents the town's business community and Felixstowe Town Council, while law practice Aquabridge Law has provided sponsorship.

Bonny Williams, event producer from Art Eat Events, said: “Without the generous support from local organisations, the return of the event in 2024 would not have been possible.

"Art Eat Events are proud to be reinstating this community-driven event and wish everyone who takes part huge success.

"We hope to return every year and urge the public to visit and enjoy what promises to be a wonderful array of affordable arts and crafts from local talented creatives.”

Last year's Art on the Prom was the first for four years and the event forms part of the Love Felixstowe Festival.
