The landlord of a town pub has revealed his plans to leave as the company that owns the site searches for a new tenant.
Ashley Webb, who has run the Horse & Groom pub in Sudbury's East Street for more than three years, has announced his upcoming departure.
"We started it in January 2021 and are leaving because other family commitments come first and we aren't able to give our full effort into the business anymore," he said.
He added: "I'll remember our amazing locals and team. They are what made the pub what it was and hopefully it'll continue long after we've gone."
The pub is owned by Admiral Taverns, the company behind many other Suffolk pubs including The Lion in Stoke by Clare and The Walnut in Stowmarket.
The pub has been listed on the Admiral Taverns website where people can register their interest, with the annual rent listed as £15,950.
Time to move on and concentrate on my family and other commitments. Thanks everyone so much for your support these past 4 years. I will be sticking around until a new Tennant is found ! 🍻🍻 https://t.co/OVH5plteJJ

A spokesperson for Admiral Taverns said: "We have a great opportunity available for a passionate and experienced licensee to take over the Horse & Groom in the historic market town of Sudbury.
"The pub has is located at the heart of the community and has a fantastic reputation as an extremely popular local pub for the new licensee(s) to build on.
"The pub has recently undergone a major external redecoration giving it a fresh-modern look and it is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere with regular live entertainment and live sport.
"We are looking for someone who is committed to continuing to cement the pub as a social hub and is keen to experiment with introducing a small food menu to further enhance the pub's offering.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing licensees for all their hard work in making the pub such a success and for creating such a fantastic community asset."
"We wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavours and in the meantime encourage anyone who is interested in taking the Horse & Groom over to give us a call on 01244 321 171."
