A family has swapped bell tents for fixed lodges as they transition from a "glamping" campsite to a holiday park in north Suffolk.
Paul and Emma Razey are developing their four to five acre site after gaining planning green light for 15 lodges at Oak Lodge Retreat at Nick's Lane, Brome - just north of the town of Eye.
The holiday park - which is dog-friendly and set in a rural location - will be open year-round. The site has a bar and hot tub.
The Razeys believe the holiday homes will appeal to visitors wanting to explore the Suffolk and Norfolk countryside and they expect to attract home buyers from across the UK.
"This will be one of the most beautiful holiday parks in Suffolk when it is completed because of its tree-lined, peaceful location," said Paul.
The first phase of the scheme involves developing 12 new lodges on single or twin plots.
The Razeys - who live on four to five acre site have joined forces with Alan and Keith Forward - owners of Stonham Barns near Debenham - to offer a range of lodge designs from manufacturers including Atlas and Pemberton. These are priced from £85, plus pitch and other fees.
"It is a holiday sanctuary which will eventually be a gated community - an oasis of calm and tranquillity," said Paul.
"As a glamping base this location at Nick’s Lane, Brome has been highly praised by our regular visitors.
"It is a very special place to relax and unwind - and to explore all the amenities offered by Norfolk and Suffolk.
"It has been our intention to keep this plot for quality holidays and now that we have permission to develop the site into a holiday park for use for all 12 months of the year we are looking forward to realising our vision for the ultimate holiday location in the months ahead."
Paul believes the appetite for holiday home ownership is still strong. There are no facilities on site, but the park lies very close to the Oaksmere hotel and restaurant and to the town of Eye which offers a range of services.
"People are looking to spend precious time with family and friends and the UK still offers the best opportunity for this to happen," he said.
"It’s all about making memories and this is something that only the UK can offer. It’s stress free ‘homely’ set up means people can have fun without the limitations of being overseas."
