After being crowned Medium Business of the Year, sponsored by Pound Gates, at the EADT Business Awards 2024, Caribbean Blinds is doing everything it can to be the market leader in its industry.
Established in 1987, Caribbean Blinds UK Ltd is a family-owned business providing external shading solutions for residential, commercial, contract and trade customers throughout the UK.
From its headquarters in Sudbury, the company has grown immensely and now supplies premium blinds, patio awnings and louvered roof pergolas across the nation.
In 2016, Stuart and Brad Dantzic took over the business from their parents and started transforming Caribbean Blinds into the award-winning manufacturer it is known as today.
“We pride ourselves on offering the best products at the best price and strive to deliver the best service and value proposition,” said Stuart Dantzic, managing director.
“We’re confident our clients receive not just expert advice and insight but also products with exceptional performance that last a lifetime.”
It is this commitment to quality along with its incredible track record that saw Caribbean Blinds crowned Medium Business of the Year, sponsored by Pound Gates, at the EADT Business Awards 2024.

“We’re delighted to have won this award, which pays tribute not only to our firm commitment to Suffolk, but also to the way we work and the quality of the products we offer,” Stuart said.
“The award is also a tribute to our fantastic, passionate staff who work incredibly hard to manufacture products that catch the imagination of our customers, keeping them loyal to us and inspiring innovation at every level.”
The team at Caribbean Blinds is made up of knowledgeable technicians who carefully craft each external shading system to the clients’ exact requirements, ensuring every detail and finish is perfect.
“We’re an ambitious company which employs ambitious individuals that are incredibly hardworking,” Stuart added. “Receiving awards like this is fantastic motivation to continue operating to such a high standard, delivering quality products and premium customer service.”

Stuart says that Caribbean Blinds has a clear strategy for building the most desirable brand for external shading in the UK.
He wants the business to be the go-to brand in its sector – known for products that combine style with function and durability, as well as its reputation for providing expert advice and support.
But its services do not stop there. Caribbean Blinds is also a community-focused business that does everything in its power to support the local economy.
Since winning the award, the company has committed to investing a further £100,000 in the business, bringing other services previously outsourced in-house, which will create new East Anglian jobs.
The business also works closely with local groups, such as football club AFC Sudbury, to give back to the community.
“We are fully committed to keeping our manufacturing facilities within our headquarters in Suffolk and believe that doing so has a positive impact on our business, customers and the local community,” Stuart said.
“We have a genuine mission to enhance lifestyles through innovative external shading systems that effortlessly transform the use, functionality and enjoyment of all types of spaces.
“We want to create a great space to live, work and play, fostering a stronger sense of place and opportunity for everyone.”
