A highly-rated seafood restaurant has been named as one of the best summer eats by a top foodie guide. 

Inspectors from the Good Food Guide shared the greatest restaurants they ate at throughout the month of August. 

One of the eateries named was Sole Bay Fish Company in Southwold, which was chosen for its offering of a crab in a box at the harbour. 

The guide recommends the seafood platters "anchored by the main attraction of half a garlicky butter-slicked lobster, a dressed crab or sultry smoked fish".

The restaurant reopened for takeaway and outdoor seating in June last year following a fire which destroyed the building. 

More than 80 firefighters were called to the blaze - which also affected the nearby Mrs T's Fish and Chip Shop.

Indoors, the restaurant is still being rebuilt with the owners hoping it will open at a later date this year. 

It is not the first time Sole Bay Fish Company has received praise from the guide as last month it was named as one of the best seaside restaurants in the UK.
