A former choirmaster and teacher from Suffolk has been charged with 37 sexual offences spanning over four decades.
David Pickthall, of Cheveley Park, Cheveley, has been charged with 24 counts of indecent assault, 10 counts of observing someone doing a private act and three counts of making an indecent image of a child.
The investigation relates to the offences allegedly taking place between 1980 and 2021 and involve 19 people.
The offences allegedly happened while the 65-year-old was a choirmaster in the borough of Havering and a teacher in Brentwood.
Pickthall is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on October 8 2024.
Police have asked that anyone with information relating to this investigation, should contact Essex Police quoting crime reference number 42/238353/21.
