Customer satisfaction and reaching net zero are high on the priority list for AccuGrit, which recently won an award at the EADT Business Awards 2024.

When it comes to winter maintenance, Rickinghall-based AccuGrit offers full UK coverage and is dedicated to giving its clients the best service possible.

It offers a range of specialist winter services, including gritting, snow clearing and weather forecasting packages to save clients’ money and protect the environment.

The firm was formed in 2019 after noticing a gap in the market for a dedicated service, and since then has gone from strength to strength, forming long lasting relationships with some of the UK’s largest organisations.

“We implement innovative technologies, with decades of experience to position ourselves as the industry leaders for winter maintenance services,” said Dean Harvey, managing director of AccuGrit.

"With a dedicated team, solely focused on winter services, full UK coverage, innovations, technologies and robust supply chains, there is no challenge winter can throw at us that we cannot overcome.”

AccuGrit won the Growth Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Ashtons Legal, at the EADT Business Awards 2024.

Its focus on winter services, rather than multiple service lines, has enabled it to grow and become true specialists in the facilities management sector.

Winning the award meant a lot to Dean and his team.

“It was recognition for all the hard work that the team have put in during the last few years,” he said. “We are immensely proud of our achievements since starting the business only four years ago.”

The award win has had a positive impact on the business, confirming that it is on the right path for continued growth and showing clients and prospective clients that the business is run soundly and developing in the right way.

The business is also focused on delivering quality customer service.

“Our net promoter score is very high, and customer satisfaction is key to the business growing,” said Dean. “There is no point in taking on new clients if we are losing existing ones. In our industry, word of mouth is also key, and we hold a very good reputation for delivering customer satisfaction.”

AccuGrit actively participates in supporting local initiatives, including a partnership with Ormiston Families, where it assists with ground maintenance and fundraising efforts.

These endeavours have seen AccuGrit raise thousands of pounds and demonstrates its dedication to making a positive impact beyond its core services.

When it comes to further growth, AccuGrit is acutely aware of its environmental impact, and is taking steps to hit its goal of going net zero by 2029.

“We have developed our own bespoke job scheduling system, which optimises the routes for each shift our teams work,” said Dean “This greatly reduces our environmental impact.”

The future is looking bright for the winter maintenance firm, and Dean has big ambitions for the business.

“We want to continue to take the opportunities that lay ahead of us and to become the industry leader in the UK, which we are well on the way to achieving in the next 24 months.”

AccuGrit is also looking to take its business overseas, where it sees further opportunities to take advantage of.
