Four new houses are set to be built in a village in Suffolk after the council approved plans despite concerns raised by residents.
Mid Suffolk District Council has granted the application for the homes in Stonham Aspal near Stowmarket.
An application was originally submitted in February for five new homes to be built, this was subsequently reduced to four houses in May.
The 0.35 hectare site off The Street, currently used as residential gardens, is sandwiched between two properties, The Junipers and White Lodge.
The four houses will have two parking spots each and the properties will have a separate garage.
Stonham Aspal Parish Council voted neutral on the plans but didn't want any development outside of the settlement boundary.
Residents in the area felt the same and had concerns that part of the development was outside of the village settlement boundary.
Mid Suffolk approved the plans, however, due to the proposals being acceptable in accordance with provisions and policies.
But conditions were stated with details having to be laid out prior to work commencing highlighting the new vehicular access and resurfacing the new access onto the highway.
