A 25-year-old has been handed a driving ban after being caught over the drug limit while behind the wheel of a car in a village near Ipswich.
Regan Gant appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich charged with driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
A court listing said Gant, of Heather Close in Martlesham, was stopped in the village on May 25 last year.
He was accused of having excess delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, which is commonly known as THC, in his system.
Gant pleaded guilty to the offence.
The defendant was handed a community order and a curfew instructing him to stay at home between the hours of 8pm and 5am.
As well as this, Gant was banned from driving for a period of 17 months.
He was told to pay costs of £114 owed to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £105.
The court listing said Gant's guilty plea was taken into account when magistrates decided on sentencing.
