Work is continuing on two units in Ipswich's Anglia Retail Park to get their doors open after a long wait on both sites.
Taco Bell was given planning permission to convert the old Carphone Warehouse unit on Ipswich's Anglia Retail park into a takeaway in August 2022.
Work was put on hold, however, after it was understood there were problems with signing up a franchisee for the American chain, which specialises in Mexican food.
Work started on the unit at the end of July. One month on, work is still continuing on the site to get the unit open as soon as possible.
Also in the park, signs for the new Lidl superstore have gone up on the outside of the new building.
The shop will open next to the Jump In trampoline centre on the site of the former B&Q garden centre.
There were hopes that the shop would open in time for Christmas last year, but due to roof issues, this opening was put on hold.
With signs up though, and the unit looking almost complete from the outside, the building is on course for its hopeful opening time of October.
The shop will be handed over to Lidl to fit out the interior of the unit before it opens.
Planning permission for the new supermarket was also granted back in 2022 after the proposal was first unveiled in 2021.
Colin Kreidewolf, the chair of Ipswich Borough Assets (IBA), who own the site, said previously: "It (Taco Bell) has taken longer than we hoped - but we know a lot of people are looking forward to this opening and it will complete a strong offer in the park.
"I'm also really pleased about the progress on Lidl. The building is on target to be ready for us to hand over to Lidl and they should be able to get on and fit it out ready to open in the autumn, well before the Christmas season."
With work continuing on the two units, and them both opening within the next couple of months, it will see the retail park in the north west of Ipswich be fully occupied by fast food restaurants, shops and activity centres.
