The owners of a historic pier have "an amazing night planned" as a UK first is set to hit town.
Fireworks and live music will take centre stage in Lowestoft tonight (Friday, August 23).
For one night only, Claremont Pier in Lowestoft will be showcasing two fireworks displays - with live music in between taking place at BAR 20 & Rooftop Terrace.
The owners of the famous Lowestoft landmark have teamed up with Flash Fx "to bring a UK first to Claremont Pier" on Friday, August 23.
The special bank holiday fireworks displays and live music is being staged "as a thank you to the customers who have supported the Pier this summer".
The bank holiday fireworks bonanza will feature "a special daytime display at 7pm" along with a "pioneering Wildlife Considered Display at 9pm" - with both displays "equally suited to all ages".
With free entry to the fireworks displays at 7pm and 9pm there will also be live music in BAR 20 & Rooftop Terrace - with performances ahead of the fireworks from String Fellas Live at 6pm and 7.15pm.
Donations are being accepted on the night to help the ongoing campaign to re-deck the whole 60-metre stretch of the pier.
Ben Llewellyn, director of Claremont Pier, said: "We have an amazing night planned for you all."
With the displays used at the Olympic opening ceremony this year for the first time ever, Flash Fx will be "bringing these fireworks to Lowestoft in what will be a first in East Anglia, and a UK first."
