A Lowestoft beer festival is back this weekend for a two-day event loaded with food and music.

East Pint Beer Fest, a popular annual two-day event that celebrates the best beers, food and music, is returning to East Point Pavilion.

The festival is set to run on Saturday and Sunday from midday to 11pm.

This is the third edition of the festival and it is shaping up to be the biggest yet with a wide beer selection, mouthwatering street food, and exciting live music performances.

The event's unique positioning as the most easterly in Britain has inspired the choice of beers for this year.

Sir Toby’s Beers has meticulously selected this year’s beers based upon the First Light Festival’s theme of the Cardinal Points.

A selection of breweries located in the North, South, East and West of the UK have been commissioned to supply their beers, including offerings such as I’m Not a Robot from Grain brewery in Harleston, and Lightbulb by Cornwall’s Vedant Brewery.

Street food traders stationed at East Point Pavilion will offer a feast featuring Mexican-inspired vegan dishes, hot dogs, curries, and loaded fries, along with beverages like coffees, smoothies, cocktails and soft drinks.

Live music performances will complement the beer and food offerings, featuring John & Lynne Ward and Lincoln Skins on August 24, and The Fresh Twang and The Rogue Shanty Buoys performing sets on the following day.

The festival will kick off early this year, with Hooma Comedy Club hosting a special Beers and Laughter comedy event the night before the festival.

Tickets for the comedy event are priced at £10.50 or £13.50 if you opt to pay at the door.

Each ticket includes a complimentary half pint from the festival's beer offering.
