A Wetherden family have said they were left "dreadfully upset" after graves were damaged and ornaments smashed.
Joseph Wells posted on social media after realising his grandparents' ornament pot on their grave had been smashed along with many others in the Garden of Remembrance, in Langley Avenue cemetery in Felixstowe.
Amanda Wells, Joseph's mother, described going to the cemetery "as usual" and seeing the devastation.
She said: "I've never seen it like that before, it's always immaculate.
"It just looked like an apocalypse, things were strewn everywhere, I'm just dreadfully upset."
Ms Wells described seeing a child's grave behind her parents which was also ruined: "I just couldn't do anything but tear up, a child's grave ruined, a teddy strewn across the grass.
"It's disrespectful and uncaring."
The response to the original Facebook post has been vast, with more than 100 people commenting messages of support.
Farthings Funeral Service offered to replace to broken items on the grave free of charge, but Ms Wells declined.
She said: "The pot wasn't expensive, it's somewhat replaceable. It's the principle that someone has disrespected a grave.
"I had a sinking feeling, of how it would have been left if were hadn't had gone there that day.
"I just can't understand it for the life of me."
Felixstowe Town Council said it has not received any direct complaints regarding the issue, nor does it have record of staff damaging the memorials.
The council said: "We would like to express our sympathy to anyone who may have been affected by damage to memorials.
"The town council takes such matters very seriously, as we understand the importance of these memorials to families and the community.
"If anyone has concerns about the cemetery, we encourage them to contact us directly so that we can investigate and address any issues appropriately.
"In the meantime, we will be looking into this matter and would appreciate any information that could assist us in our investigation."
As of last week, it is reported that the cemetery has been cleared up and cared for.
